EVEN AS Los Angeles police shifted their focus away from Michael Jackson’s cardiologist Dr Conrad Murray, who grew up in Trinidad, members of the medical fraternity came out in his support. UNC Senator and Caroni East MP Dr Tim Gopeesingh recalled that when no other local cardiologist wanted to help set up the Cardiac Cauterisation Laboratory at the St Clair Medical Centre, Murray was there to get the project off the ground. Gopeesingh, an obstetrician/gynaecologist by profession, was speaking to reporters at the Trinidad and Tobago Medical Association’s 15th Annual Medical Conference at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Port of Spain yesterday when he made the statement about Murray who, on numerous occasions visited the shores of Trinidad and Tobago after migrating to the United States back in the 1960’s. Local residents, schoolmates and neighbours, including doctors from the St Clair Medical Centre in St Clair, however, told the Express that Murray grew up in San Juan. read more

The phone service will allow people to call 118 800 to ask to be connected to someone’s mobile phone. The directory does not give out mobile phone numbers but calls the person or sends them a text message with the contact details of the person wishing to get in touch. Connectivity, the company behind the service, said the 15 million numbers “generally” came from companies which collect them from customers in the course of business and which had permission to share those numbers. At no time would the mobile numbers be disclosed, Connectivity said, adding that only people verified as being over 18 are included in its directory. For iPhone users whose employers use a Directory Service based on LDAP, such as Appleās Open Directory, Microsoftās Active Directory, and so on, the iPhone 3. You create a new account in Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Add Accountā¦ -> Other -> Add LDAP Account. On the management side, while Apple hasnāt updated the preferences manifests for iTunes yet (so you donāt get easy access to the new features in iTunes management, aka āParental Controlsā), if you look at the restrictions settings for the iPhone on the device, you can see whatās going to be available once Apple updates the management utility end of things. On the management utilities, Apple hasnāt yet released an update to the iPhone Configuration Utility. Thatās a shame, because I and a lot of system administrators are hoping that Apple fixes some of the glaring holes in the iPhone Configuration Utility to allow for real over-the-air configuration of devices.
