The one great thing about scrapbooking pages is that you can create a new master piece every time you create a new page. A great layout can be recreated in many different ways. When you find a layout that you just love, use it again and again. All you need to do is change the theme, season and color. All it takes is a little tweaking of color and decorative accents. Friends and family won't notice the similarities as you disperse your pages throughout different scrapbook albums. What they will notice is your great style.
Here are a few different ideas on how to change each page
Use different colors on the pages, try and stay with the season. If you are doing fall pages, add a few leaves and some twine or raffia. Winter, use a few snowflakes and snowmen.
Change the placement of the photo. Create the page just the same and turn the whole page clock wise. By doing this with a 12 X12 spread, you can create up to 8 different layouts without having to come with a whole new idea. When you change the layout to a way that you like, simply add some embellishments to liven it up.
Change the font of your journaling and titles. Place one at the top and one on the side. Use tags in different corners or have them coming form the mat of your anchor photo. If you are doing a 2 page spread, use a bigger title on one page and journaling on the other. This way you will bring them together as they flow.
Try and maintain a visual balance on your pages, use accents and embellishments that are approximately the same size on both pages.
Cut the corners of your mats and photos to change things up a bit. Add a flower to the top of one corner and the bottom of the other.
Remember by change just the smallest things you have just created a whole new look. It doesn't take a professional to create a master piece. By adding these few little tips into your creations, you will not only save time but you will have fresh new ideas coming to you.
