    5 Ways To Boost Your Online Business

    There are many tactics and techniques that can be used to boost your online business' profits and bring your internet venture to the next level. The only problem is actually sitting down and doing it. In fact, procrastination is probably the number one killer of internet marketers. So don't let it get you, take action now.

    Sometimes it can be a little difficult to figure out what to do next, however, so I've provided a list of five things that you can do to improve your business. This list is certainly not exhaustive by any means, but it is a boost in the right direction.

    1. Publish an e-zine

    If your not already doing this then you should be. This is often synonymous with creating a list and it can be one of your most important tools and assets.

    Why?

    Well, for starters you have to remember that the golden key to creating a successful business is creating relationships with your customers. One of the best ways of doing this is to stay in contact with them, and how best to do that then to send out an e-zine?

    Now, your publication doesn't need to go out on a fixed schedule, but you should be making some sort of contact with your customers at least once a week, preferably more than that. Of course, don't go overboard with this. For example, don't send out email to your customers more than once a day.

    Also note that you can include product promotions in each of your e-zine issues, and they don't always have to be your own. You can become an affiliate for other people's products, to give your customers a wide selection of other products that they may be interested in. Make sure, of course, that the products you are promoting are high quality products that you've seen yourself or you risk losing credibility.

    2. Publish testimonials

    Speaking of credibility, one of the best ways of building up a trustworthy rapport with a customer, before they've even purchased, is to include testimonials on your sales page. When customer's see a testimonial from someone that isn't the product creator they think much more highly of the product, which is very good for you.

    Not only that, but most people are highly skeptical of online information products, as well they should be with the amount of rubbish that's been published recently. However, providing testimonials, and in particular including the previous buyer's website and contact information, goes a long way in increasing your product's credibility.

    Yet another reason to include a customer testimonial is that there is a phenomena observed in online shoppers where it appears that they are influenced by the actions of other online shoppers. What I mean is that if a shopper sees that someone else has purchased an item, they are more likely to purchase it. This is also why having an independent, favorable review does wonders for your product.

    3. Write Articles

    Article writing is by far the most effective form of free advertising in existence right now. If your not making use of this incredible resource then your sacrificing many many dollars in sales.

    Its a very simple process to go through, simply sit down and write a few articles, you should be able to write an article in about a half an hour, and then submit them to article directories. Not only will you get a lot of exposure from natural article directory visitors, but most article directories have high PR ratings and so in many cases your articles will show up in search engine results and so you'll also get organic search engine traffic.

    In addition to the natural flow of traffic, most article directories supply articles to newsletter publishers and so you have a good chance of getting your article picked up and sent out to a whole bunch of targeted people, which can really boost your traffic.

    4. Track your advertising

    Many people have this notion that once you set up some advertising program you can just leave it alone and it'll pump traffic into your website forever. This is certainly not the case. You should really be constantly monitoring and tweaking your advertisements.

    If you don't track the progress of your advertisements then you have no idea whats working and what isn't. By tracking and modifying your ads you will significantly improve your conversion rate which means that at the very least your are paying less per customer to your website.

    5. Offer a guarantee

    As I said earlier in this article, most online shoppers are highly skeptical of the offers that they run into every day online. Another way that you can make sure that your website visitors trust you is to offer a nice, long guarantee on your product.

    Its generally very easy to offer such a refund, just make sure that you clearly state on your website that your offering a 60 day money back guarantee, for example. While it is true that you'll get some unscrupulous people that don't really want to pay for your product, its worth it in the long run for the increase in conversion rate that you'll experience.

    As you can see, there are many different ways that you can increase your sales and get your business to take off like a rocket, but unless you actually do things you'll never experience the results that you want.
