People cannot control their destiny if they allow government officials to become too powerful. Our nation has the blessings of liberty, and it can only be preserved with a firm adherence to fairness, moderation, honesty, virtue and patriotism.
The president said he would ask Congress for $700 million for Colombia. We have been giving money to Colombia. We need to spend money for our veterans and their hospitals and their care - NOT FOR COLOMBIA. The needs of our nation should be a first consideration.We should not continue to fund other nations while turning a blind eye to the needy in this country.
