Fly in the air as if you are spreading your wings. You are all alone and the whole sky is yours. Such a thrill makes parasailing the most sought after event in aero sports.
Being aloft in the air on a canopy-like parachute, you drive through the various layers of the atmosphere and rise higher and higher. In any other aero sports like ballooning and gliding you cannot enjoy this speed and rising high in the sky wandering over the scenic landscape. Truly parasailing gives you a feel of being on the top of the world.
Beach, platform and winchboat are the three basic methods of parasailing among which the third one is known to be played in most places.
WinchBoat parasailing most popular
The WinchBoat parasailing has this particular boat as its base position. The sailor of the parasail begins the flight from this point and ends at the same terminal. The moving up and coming down is conducted from this base position.
There is a towboat that creates the accelerated speed to push the parasail up in the air. The parasailor sitting on a floating chair is protected from all sides. The acceleration raising the parasail high in the air brings out a difference in the altitude level which is regulated by the speed of the winchboat.
With the acceleration from the tow boat, the canopy also begins to inflate. Inflation of the canopy is much depended on the velocity of the ongoing wind. And without proper inflated position the parasailor can't reach higher sitting on the parasail. Finally the parasailor comes back to the boat where the direction is provided by the boat operator. To maintain a safe landing the speed of the boat has to be minimized and rightly positioned according to the movement of the parasail.
Beach parasailing is more fun
Wherever there are beaches you can go for beach parasailing. The parasail is attached to the towboat with the help of a rope. The rope is let loosed when the parasail is about to take-off. The harness is strapped around the rider or the parasailor and fixed with the canopy. There is no chance for the rider to fall from it.
As it is water everywhere surrounding the beach the parasailor has to be properly trained to avoid accidents. He/she is given the parasailing rules before the parasail moves upward. There is a boat below in the sea to guide and provide basic instructions. But all depends on the skill of flying high by the parasailor. Therefore a risk factor remains if the rider by any means looses control over it. Safe landing is again guided by the boat operator but one who is handling the parasail canopy is fully responsible for performing it safely.
